Logging out of the registry

If a SITHS card has been used, the user has to remove the card from the card reader and close the web browser in order to log out. Since the SITHS card is used for logging in to many different healthcare information systems, e.g. medical records systems, logging out of a quality registry also logs the user out of all other systems as well.

If mobile SITHS or any other authentication method has been used, a logout link is displayed under the user menu, which leads to the "Logged Out" page.

Inactivity logout

After 25 minutes of inactivity, a window with a five-minute countdown is displayed, where the user can confirm to continue working in the registry. Doing so will reset the session timer.

After 30 minutes of inactivity, the user will be redirected to the “Session Missing” page (if logged in with a SITHS card), or directly to the “Logged Out” page (if logged in with Mobile SITHS or any other method).
