QReg5 Design System

Two-factor authentication (also called strong authentication) is required to sign in to a quality registry. Instead of just needing one type of verification to sign in, an additional step is required to verify identity. This is done in order to better protect the personal data that appears in the registry. Of course, users are still required to be careful. Registry users must be signed in with their personal user information. Users may never share a session using the same login. It is always the person who is signed in who is responsible and must be able to justify which personal data is handled and for what purpose.

Login methods

For UCR's registry customers in Sweden, the most common login method is via SITHS card. In future it will be possible to log in using mobile SITHS. For license customers who build on the platform other login methods can be used.

SITHS card

SITHS is an electronic identity document that can be used for, among other things, login, signing and secure access to various national care systems and services. The SITHS card is a card on which a personal SITHS e-ID is stored. The card includes codes that are provided when the card is issued, including an identification code, which can be used to sign in to quality registries. To sign out, the user must remove the card from the card reader and close the browser. Since the SITHS card can be used for signing in to many different care information systems, such as medical record systems, signing out of the quality registry means that the user is signed out of all care information systems. For more information in Swedish, see: SITHS-kort | Svensk e-identitet.

Mobile SITHS

A new solution for authentication has been developed which, among other things, makes it possible to use SITHS e-identification via mobile. This will be gradually tested and made available to UCR's registries. For more information in Swedish, see Ny lösning (New solution) SITHS | Svensk e-identitet.

See instructions in Swedish, from Inera who develop the solution, about how to sign in using mobile SITHS.
