Help texts

Help related to an input form may be given on several levels, depending on the purpose. For a more general description of the information that should be entered in a section, there is a possibility to add a descriptive explanation.

Different levels of registration help

• Label: If the user should enter a value in a certain unit, the unit should be shown in the heading above the input field (the label) e.g. Weight (kg).
  • Placeholder text: There is also a possibility to show format help in the input field, for example the format for entering a date: YYYY-MM-DD
• More help, Info-i: If a variable needs a description in order for the user to understand how to interpret it, it is possible to have an info-i to the right of the input field. These information texts may be short or longer, see examples below
