Overview
By pattern we mean a group of several components that are involved in a task that a user is faced with. It can also be about how, and in what order, different elements appear, or a behavior that recurs in different contexts that does not concern a specific component but is applied generally. Examples of this can be how we show that functions are not selectable and other status indicators.
With the help of well-thought-out and consistent design patterns, users can more easily understand and complete complex tasks. It also provides a good basis for maintaining a consistent and simple user experience as the platform evolves, as new features and additions follow the same overall pattern.
