FHIR REST API

Early Access Version

At QReg5, we are committed to aligning with both national and international standards for healthcare information exchange. HL7/FHIR has been identified as the leading standard by Swedish authorities, international organizations, and EDHS.

Our initial FHIR integration in QReg5 includes:

  • FHIR APIs — powered by the open-source HAPI FHIR server
  • A foundational framework for mapping Patient, Practitioner, and Organization resources, fully aligned with the Swedish base profiles
  • Example code and developer resources demonstrating how registry entries can be populated via FHIR integration

By enabling FHIR compatibility at the platform level, we create new opportunities for registry projects to map variables to established standards and terminologies (such as SNOMED-CT), and to explore advanced FHIR-based integrations with systems like electronic health records (EHRs) that already support FHIR.
